A magical wine trip: Northern Greece

στις

The vineyards located in Northern Greece cover the areas of  Drama and Kavala, Chalkidiki, Naoussa, Amynteo and Rapsani. Most of them have become famous for their red dry wines mainly from Greek varietals.

The soil is fertile, the vineyards can be found in mountain slopes or flat «terroirs» and the climate is humid.

We are thrilled to have included in our wine list, wines from the area of Northern Greece, from boutique wineries.

Drama- Domaine Michaeilidi: Located in the area of Drama, where all grape harvest is received, shortly after its gathering, and where the winemaking process begins at the modern facilities that equip the production unit.

The «Pyli» selection includes white, red and rose wines with the Greek varietal Assyrtico to play a significant role in the winemaking.
